Palm Desert is quite an interesting place architecturally. It is home to the wealthy along Highway 74 and in myriad gated golf communities. Suburban style tract homes cover much residential Palm Desert. A majority of these homes are Spanish Style tract homes, but there are many modern and custom designed home mixed in as well. It is important to see all of what Palm Desert has to offer before settling on a specific area.

Palm Desert is home to College of the Desert - the Coachella Valley's community college. The McCallum theater is a central point for all of the Coachella Valley. It features famous signers, comedians and plays through "the season" - which is fall through spring.
